On Monday 28th April through until Thursday 1st May, there is a scheduled union strike by the operators of the London Underground service. If the strike goes ahead, there is the potential for disruption across London Underground lines.
As a result, there is a chance that Knightsbridge Underground Station, the nearest station to the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel, may be closed.
Fortunately, the hotel is well located in a central London location, and is serviced by numerous bus links, and is also a short 15-20 minute walk from London Victoria Rail Station. The following Bus routes operate in the vicinity of the hotel: 19, 22, 137, 452, C1
The following Bus routes operate towards Harrods, a short walk from the hotel: 9, 10, 14, 52, 74, 414, 452
Hyde Park Corner is a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel; and is serviced by a number of London Bus Routes, including: 2, 9, 10, 14, 16, 19, 22, 36, 38, 52, 74, 82, 137, 148, 414, 436, C2
Please regularly check for updates to the proposed Strike action via the Transport For London website (http://www.tfl.gov.uk); and please ensure that you plan your journey to the conference in advance, allowing extra time for potential disruption.
We will provide an additional update on Monday 28th April. We are confident that the proposed strike action will not pose significant disruption to this year’s Telecoms Regulation Forum, and we look forward to seeing you next week.
